There are several ways to help welcome our newest members and support families as they begin this important step in their child’s faith journey:
Prayer Blankets. Put your knitting or crocheting skills to work creating the handmade blankets gifted to each child at Baptism. Blanket guidelines and requirements can be found below.
SPLASH Ambassadors. Be a welcoming parish presence for Baptism families by helping with hospitality, set-up, and the celebration itself.
Gift Books. Help provide the books and faith resources given to families through Baptism preparation. Visit our Amazon Wish List to purchase an item or make a monetary contribution.

Baptism Prayer Blankets
Each child baptized at Holy Spirit Parish is gifted a handmade prayer blanket as a reminder that they are clothed in Christ and surrounded by the prayers of this faith community. Lovingly created by parishioners, each one becomes a sacred keepsake of the child’s Baptism and a tangible reminder that their parish family is praying for them as they begin their life in Christ.
To help keep these gifts consistent and appropriate for Baptism, blankets should:
Measure approximately 30"–36" x 36"–40"
Be white or very light cream, reflecting the traditional color and symbolism of Baptism
Be free of buttons, beads, fringe, or other loose embellishments
Be securely finished without loose yarn or large openings
Come from a smoke-free environment and be clean and ready for gifting.
