We’ve seen a growing number of families with children preparing for Baptism, First Reconciliation, or First Holy Communion outside of the usual timeline—and that’s okay. Whether due to moves, scheduling, or a different faith journey, the Catch-Up Crew offers a flexible, supportive path for families and youth in Grades 3–8 who need to catch up on sacramental preparation. Youth and families work together to complete a home-based preparation program alongside regular participation in HSP Faith Formation or Catholic school religious education classes while supported by a caring team of Catechists. We also gather twice a year, in the fall and spring, for 2–3 hour retreat-style sessions designed to stay connected and celebrate the journey toward the sacraments. Just like ketchup makes fries even better, the Catch-Up Crew adds support, encouragement, and faith-filled guidance so families can truly relish their road to the sacraments.
